MELISSA PIPPIN-CARSON
Melissa began her real estate career in 2001 with French & French Fine Properties, which eventually became Sotheby’s International Realty. Melissa is lead broker for the Carson Group and oversees all aspects of the business. Her persistence and tenacious manner have put her in the top tier of Santa Fe brokers for over 20 years. Respected by clients and fellow agents alike, Melissa was elected President of the Santa Fe Association of Realtors in 2017.
As a real estate agent, Melissa believes that the ability to negotiate well is an essential skill. Melissa embraces a professional corporate American negotiation style that is honed from over 550 successfully negotiated real estate transactions. Her skills are further broadened with training and certification from Harvard Law School’s elite Program on Negotiations (PON). PON at Harvard Law is a diverse global program that focuses on master-level negotiation and leadership. Just a handful of real estate agents across the country have invested in their careers to the level that Melissa has, and only a few hold the esteemed PON Negotiation Certification.
Melissa has obtained many other designations that have raised her professional profile to the highest level. She has earned the CRS - Council of Residential Specialists designation, the highest credential awarded to residential brokers. This certification is focused on the best practices of listing, marketing, and selling residential properties combined with established production levels. Only 4% of Realtors nationally have obtained this credential. She is also a CLHMS - Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. This designation is awarded by the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, the premier independent authority in training and certification for real estate agents worldwide working in the luxury residential market.
ROGER CARSON
Roger is full-time real estate professional and is passionate about the real estate industry and the American dream of home ownership. Motivated and self-determined, Roger’s real estate journey began after working his way through college and investing in his first house at age 22.
After working a handful of years in London, England, notably at The Carlton Tower, Roger worked six years in club operations at Las Campanas before bringing his expertise on board at Sotheby’s International Realty and joining his partner Melissa in 2004. An Alumnus of the George Washington University, School of Business, Roger brings a vast degree of creativity and problem-solving skills to the table. He oversees marketing for the Carson Group and holds a CLHMS -Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation and is a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
Roger demonstrates excellent negotiation acumen due to his unique training as a qualified mediator. His ability to listen, problem solve and help find resolutions are vital to closing even the most complex and difficult transactions. He is certified in negotiation fundamentals from the Essex Business School and has meditation certifications from the National Association of Realtors and the University of New Mexico School of Law. His capable and efficient mediation abilities are often called upon by the State of New Mexico and he is a regularly invited to help coach mediation students at the University of New Mexico School of Law.
In 2021 Roger was elected to serve as President of the Santa Fe Association of Realtors. Living, working, raising a family, and being an active volunteer in Santa Fe for over thirty years, Roger not only knows Santa Fe well, but he is also passionate about sharing it with others.
